Vitas Gerulaitis was an American tennis player who has played since 1971 to 1986. Though he was a good player, at that period of time there was one American player Jimmy Connors as well. He was one of the best players of that time.
Vitas had met with Jimmy for 17 times and he lost 16 of them. But after beating Connor on the 17th match, he said something special: “And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Vitas Gerulaitis 17 times in a row.”
